Smith Named Assistant Children’s Services Director

The MCBDD is pleased to announce that Casey Smith has been named as the Assistant Director of Children’s Services. Mr. Smith earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Studies from Ashland University and Master of Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. He has more than 15 years of experience with adults and children with developmental disabilities and their families, including working at Bellefaire JCB-Monarch Center for Autism, The Society and the past 11 years as an Intervention Specialist at Windfall School.
Along with his classroom experience, Casey has served as a Resident Educator Mentor Teacher, Aegis Crisis Prevention and De-escalation Trainer, and participated in MCBDD’s Leadership Development Program. Outside of MCBDD, Casey has spent summers in leadership roles at Camp Sue Osborn, helping create fun, inclusive experiences for children and young adults with developmental disabilities. Mr. Smith will begin his new position duties on August 3, 2026.
