Community Safety Day

The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities invites everyone to Community Safety Day on Tuesday, August 11, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Medina County Achievement Center (4691 Windfall Road, Medina, OH).

This free, family-friendly event is a great opportunity for children and adults to meet the first responders who help keep Medina County safe while enjoying a morning of hands-on fun and learning.

Explore police cars, fire trucks, and emergency vehicles, meet local police officers, firefighters, and emergency personnel, participate in interactive activities, and discover helpful health and safety resources available throughout our community. It’s the perfect chance to ask questions, build confidence, and create positive connections in a welcoming, relaxed environment.

“Community Safety Day is all about bringing our community together,” said Molly Usner, MCBDD Advocacy Advisor. “Whether you are meeting a first responder for the first time, learning about community resources, or simply enjoying the activities with your family, we hope everyone leaves feeling more connected, confident, and prepared if emergencies happen.”
