Mental Health First Aid Training 06/04/21
June 4 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
An evidence-based program that has been adopted by over 20 countries, Mental Health First Aid teaches adults how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Utilizing a five-step action plan, participants will learn to assess for risk of suicide or harm, listen without judgment, give reassurance and information, encourage appropriate professional help, and encourage self-help and other support strategies. Participants also receive detailed information regarding local providers, community services and national resources available for support and recovery.
If you are unable to join this session, an additional Mental Health First Aid training session is currently available and will take place on June 15. Click here to learn more.
