Grandparents: What You Should and Shouldn’t Say

Your adult children may be intentionally planning and preparing their lives for a child who may require restorative therapies, specialized schooling or adaptive parenting. What can you possibly say that would be helpful?
Even if you do not parent a disabled child yourself, knowing what to say can be difficult. Grandparents need to know how to talk about disabilities in a helpful and empowering manner.
