Reliable transportation is a must to access opportunities within your community. Whether you choose private or public transportation, you have many options to get you where you need to go.

Transportation Service Providers

You have the option to choose from a network of quality service providers to meet your transportation needs. These providers can transport you to and from your job or other programs. Please be aware of your service provider’s policies for route changes and cancellations.

Public Transportation

The Medina County Public Transit (MCPT) is an available option for your transportation needs and is ADA-compliant with reasonable modifications. MCPT participates in the Elderly and Disabled Programs of the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Federal Transit Administration. This program permits transit systems to offer half-priced fares to those eligible. Each person who wishes to be considered for the half-priced fare disabled program must complete the application and have their physician fax it to 330-722-7870.

MCBDD Transportation

The safety of the individuals the MCBDD transports is our first priority, which why all van drivers and aides are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention techniques.

Any changes to an individual’s route must be requested 24 hours prior to the change. If an individual will not be riding the bus due to illness or other emergency, please contact the Transportation Office prior to the scheduled pick-up time.

Notifications must be made to both the Transportation Department (330-725-7751 ext. 118) AND the Adult Services Office (330-725-7751) or Windfall School Office (330-725-7751 option 1).
