Speech Language Pathologist
Summary: Provide assessment, therapy and consult services to individuals served by Medina County Board of DD.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide assessment of individuals to determine eligibility, determine ongoing therapy needs, and establish goals and objectives.
- Plan and provide individual and/or small group therapy.
- Provide parent training relating to speech and language development and therapeutic techniques.
- Complete all necessary documentation relating to assessment and therapy in a timely fashion.
- Provide in-servicing to other professional staff.
- Provide required hearing screenings.
- Participate in departmental meetings.
- Participate in meetings directly related to those we serve.
- Complete AAC assessments and program devices as needed.
- Complete other duties as required by the Director of Children’s Services or designee.
Qualifications: Requires Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology. Must be licensed to practice SLP through the State of Ohio.
Applicant must meet the additional requirements below…
- Must meet agency computer competency level requirements. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software, internal network functions, and Word Processing software.
- Must be available to work outside normal program hours and on a rotating “on-call” basis. Must be available to work a varied and flexible schedule to meet the needs of assigned individuals.
- Must be able to travel to various community-based sites or programs. Not all sites/environments are accessible regarding individuals with mobility issues.
- Must meet agency driving requirements. May be required to drive agency vehicles. Must hold valid State of Ohio driver’s license.
- Must successfully complete a BCII background check.
- Must meet all other agency employment requirements. Must meet all requirements as outlined on the corresponding job description.
Salary: At least $46,998 annually; to commensurate with experience
Hours: Exempt Position; at least 40 hours per week
