Adult and Transportation Services Transition Info

In order to comply with Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) rules, the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) is reshaping how services are provided to adults with developmental disabilities. We are looking at the transitions that need to occur to meet the needs of individuals currently in our Adult Day Services and Transportation Services. We are committed to thoughtful and planful transitions which support success for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. This is an opportunity for the MCBDD to look at the direct services we currently provide and discover new ways to assist and support adults with developmental disabilities within the community.

So what are these changes and where are they coming from? How will they affect your services? How will you know what to do? We know that with any change, large or small, there may be questions and concerns. Know that we will be here to make sure you have the information and help you need to navigate any changes.

If you have specific concerns or questions about this information, please click here to contact us.

MCBDD has always been committed to the idea that people with developmental disabilities are entitled to the full benefits of community membership. It is what we are about...Individual Support, Community Achievement! With these changes in mind, our Board Members and management staff have been actively working to address the best ways to combine any new requirements into a meaningful, person-centered planning process of services for individuals with disabilities. We are very confident in the direction that we are heading.
