DODD Issues Statement on Ball vs. Dewine

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) has issued a statement about a settlement in the class action lawsuit of Ball vs. DeWine. According to DODD, it has reached a fair and reasonable settlement with plaintiffs and with the guardian intervenors.

This notice is to inform you of a proposed Class Action Settlement Agreement (“Settlement Agreement”) in the case of Ball v. DeWine. Class members are entitled to notice and an opportunity to object to, or comment on, the proposed Settlement Agreement. The Court has preliminarily approved the Settlement Agreement and scheduled a hearing for 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. The Court will determine whether the Settlement Agreement is fair, reasonable, and in the best interests of the class members.
