Early Intervention Specialist
40 Hours per Week
Summary: Provides assessment, evaluation and instruction to children from birth to age 3.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assesses developmental level of students and gathers evaluative data, plans and implements instructional goals and programs on basis of evaluation and assessment and provides instruction to children from birth to age 3.
Participate in scheduled multidisciplinary assessments with therapists and families.
Coordinates IFSP development and 90 day reviews with family and interdisciplinary team for eligible and enrolled children ages birth to 3 years.
Coordinates preschool transition services with Center Based E.I. Instructors.
Conducts conferences with students parents or guardians and other appropriate personnel including home visits.
Attends staff meetings and training sessions.
Attends educational meetings and conferences at request of supervisor.
Perform related duties as assigned by the Director of Education.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university in Special Education or related field. Experience working with children aged birth to 3 years of age. Applicant must meet eligibility requirements for Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Early Intervention Specialist Certification. Applicant must hold valid State of Ohio driver’s license. Must be available to work outside normal program hours. Must be available to work a varied and flexible schedule to meet the needs of assigned individuals. Must be able to travel to various community-based sites or programs. Not all sites/environments are accessible regarding individuals with mobility issues. Must successfully complete a BCI background check.
Salary: Minimal $37,569 annual

SERVICE & SUPPORT ADMINISTRATION DIRECTOR
Summary : Directs, manages and coordinates SSA program for MRDD individuals; responds to internal and external community needs with primary emphasis on consumers needs; develops policy and procedures for the delivery of services; participates in the development of agency policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Attends staff and management meetings, other service agency meetings and regional and state conferences; serves as inter agency liaison and maintains social service contacts required for programs needs.
· Maintain working relationship with other agencies, direct service staff, management staff, applicants, and county officials. Participate in meetings with other professionals and agencies.
· Provide advocacy, training, and coordination of agency resources and supports to the staff and other involved parties as necessary.
· Supervises SSA personnel in performance of duties to include the approval of personnel actions, personnel evaluations, and establishes rules and regulations concerning the performance of their duties; ensures certifications and required trainings remain current; addresses complaints and resolves problems; interviews and hires departmental staff; assigns and directs work; and rewards and disciplines staff.
· Provides direct services to consumers and families; advocates consumer rights and needs; refers consumers to other service agencies as needed; establishes and maintains record keeping system as required by program and administrative needs.
· Develops and monitors SSA budget; authorizes expenditures within established guidelines.
· Participates in public relation activities to promote support and public awareness of SSA program; attends meetings and /or delivers speeches to parents, community groups, service agencies and general public.
· Facilitates oversight and coordination of all aspects of SSA. Ensures delivery of best practices. Administers SSA programs and services. Assigns duties, reviews and assists with planning and problem solving. Maintains records and reports in a timely and accurate manner, consistent with accreditation and regulatory standards or contracted agreement. Organize department in order to provide quality services efficiently and effectively.
· Reviews UIs/MUIs to identify any patterns/trends. Assist staff with the identification of needed follow up activities to ensure health and safety to include development of prevention activities.
· Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, policies, procedures and best practices. Formulates policies and procedures for new or revised program areas.
· Able to respond to emergency situations as needed.
· Serves as liaison to families, residential facilities and Medina Creative Housing.
· Establishes and implement policies and procedures for the delivery of services and assures the department is in compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitors agency services to assure that they are being delivered according to the policies and procedures of the Board, the state and federal regulations.
· Facilitates the development and monitoring of crisis intervention activities in conjunction with other involved individuals. Activities may include, but are not limited to: completing/reviewing incident reports, ensuring that individuals’/residents’ rights are preserved. May facilitate crisis intervention activities. Ensures that necessary services are available on a 24 hour basis and crises are responded to within a timely manner.
· Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; Master’s degree preferred. One to two years related experience strongly preferred. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Must meet computer literacy requirements. Must hold valid State of Ohio driver's license.
Must be eligible for an ODDD Service and Support Administration Management Certification. Must meet agency driving requirements. Must meet all other agency employment requirements. Must meet all requirements as outlined on the attached job description.

Vehicle Operator
Approximately 25 hours per week
Summary : Responsibility is to transport consumers
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate bus in accordance with the bus route set up by the Transportation Supervisor and the Superintendent making no changes to routes without permission of Superintendent or Supervisor.
Complete attendance sheets, incident reports, intervention program when necessary.
Make sure the bus is serviced and repaired as required for the safety of passengers. Abide by Rules and Regulations set up by Department of Education for School Bus Safety.
Handle behavior on the bus by placement of the passengers in regards to their safety.
Report any continued disturbances to Supervisor by incident report. Notify parents on bus routes in all cases of school closings or breakdowns.
Operate bus as close to schedule as possible. Many of the students need help to reach the bus and may be waiting in house for late bus.
Take bus for repairs.
Report accidents and citations as indicated by Supervisor.
Annual School Bus Drivers physical required.
Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training preferred. Must meet agency computer literacy requirements. Class B CDL with P & S Endorsements required. Valid State of Ohio driver's license required. Must successfully complete a BCI background check. Will be required to drive agency vehicles. Must meet agency driving requirements.
Salary: Minimum $13.26 per hour
Hours: Approximately 25hours per week
